  1. Or "Monty Python and the Meaning of Life", yeah.

  4. With a chick (Landish) and your buddy(DJ), after you wake up.

  5. Pretty sure Rape Man is still available as a title.

    I'd go for that instead.

  6. Silly sounding title, or all of the name rip-off controversy aside this was an awesome flick - until LAST 5 minutes. When all of the awesome, was shit upon by a stupid ending twist. Imagine if Total Recall, had Arnold go through all of the adventure, and instead of big hero ending, which still was ambiguous in the way of what could have been a dream, you would get scene of Arnie with his brain blown off. Yeah, big cynical fuck you to the viewer who invested previous 110 minutes to the hero's strive.

Same is here. And it made me sad, because aside of that shitty move, the rest of the movie was cool, gritty, gory and exciting ride. Very Equilibrium-esque, with the vision of bleak future, and lone cog in the system, rebelling against the machine. Both share cool visuals, neat characters and tech, very inventive fight scenes, only where EQ gave us gunkata, here we get some great use of knives, hacksaws and stun rods.

Jude Law and Forest Whitaker sell their characters to the viewer to the final t. Its really fun to see Whitaker, do some crazy stuff, and both deliver some great physical and hard hitting fight scenes. Liev Shriber is also great as slimy boss of the two, who takes sales pitch to sell your soul to the next level.

Just like EQ, there aren't that much action, but what there is lights up the screen, especially first battle against refugees in the boat, and final showdown in the hallways of the Union. Some really kick ass shit, which is choreographed and shot with great precision and attention to detail, and NO fucking shaky cam in sight. Just good old punches, kicks, stabs and guttings

While I will always be dissapointed with the retarded decision of ending used, I still loved rest of the movie, and can pretend that movie ends right before the twist happens. That way I can still enjoy great ride that takes place until that point.

As is, this is definitely recommended. Good times, and don't listed to fucking Aren shitty tastes.

  7. What fight scenes? The one in the boat which was boring as fuck or the one where Law gets his ass kicked by Whitaker? The final scene before is the only one that was memorable and it lasted about 3 minutes. The rest of movie had Jude Law and Forest Whitaker doing nothing. Whitaker was too obsessed with Law - and that's pretty much what the basis of the whole movie was.

The idea was good, but it was executed like ass. I guess I liked the ending because we're suppose to believe none of that bullshit happened after Law got hit, which is what I'm going to pretend to do; along with the rest of the movie.

  8. You know, this wasn't an action movie to have non stop fights and gun battles. Sure I would loved to have more of fist-cuffs and knife fighting, but it delivered in few tough, exciting bits. More here was a story. In terms that you would like, its like bitch at Lost that it has 2 great but short fight scenes in the whole series run, and rest is Kate and Jack and Co being obsessed about stupid Island shit and whine and whine. Aka missing the point.

As for boat scene, I don't know what you were watching, but to me 2 leads hunting down refugees with stun guns first, and then having a brutal knife fights against multiple opponents was definitely boring as fuck.

It also had best ever death by Typewriter lol
