    Yeah PS4 is pretty smooth playing. It was a big aggravating back in the day because you could not save in castles. But in many versions of it now, you can save state, which fixes that problem.

    I gotta say, if you know where to grind in PS1, you really don't have to spend much time doing it at all. There's a couple points where there's a sharpish bump and you want to go down to the beach and kill mermen, but it's not nearly as bad as any other game from that era in terms of grinding. I have very little stomach for that kind of stuff anymore and I played through PS1 again like a year or two ago when the retranslation came out and had plenty of fun.

    Agreed. And they failed to come close to matching the level of quality of the previous generations. Making a better mousetrap beats the shit out of making a new fly trap if you want to catch mice.

    for real. Near unplayable. Though I think there was a GBC or GBA rev that was worse.
