Are those dpads 4 individual buttons or one connected piece? If the latter, how do you press multiple buttons at once?

The thing on the right that looks like another d-pad are the buttons. They aren't connected, but it looks like they are.

The one on the right isn't a dpad. It just stupidly looks like one. They are individual buttons not connected in anyway. I guess the creators of the thing originally were going to have it be two dpads, but the community let them know how incredibly dumb that would be and did this instead. It's not the greatest layout, but it works better than it looks like it would.
KOF: Seems like most things into the early to mid 90's work fine. Over clocking the machine makes Metal Slug and In the Hunt work perfectly.
