Monk's Blood is pretty good. I highly recommend this, though:
Picked up some more Monk's Blood. Enjoyed it enough last time to pick up another 4 pack.

I haven't been posting anything useful in this thread for a month or so. I haven't been writing down my tasting notes as of late because I don't know why. But I'll mention what I can remember.
Iron City is one of the worst beers I've ever had. I got my dad the 6 pack because he grew up in Pittsburgh. He was pretty stoked, I was not stoked to split one with him. Looks bad, smells bad, tastes bad. The total package. Spilled some on the counter and, I shit you not, it bleached the tan countertop white.
The Bigfoot Ale claims to be a barleywine but might actually be an IPA in disguise. My dad gave me one of these in trade for the Iron City. I enjoyed it. Lots even. I'll probably pick up 6 pack (4 pack?) next year.
That 2007 Raison De'Extra was pretty awesome. Tasted like a fancy sipping liquor. Very strong, pretty complicated. Insane amounts of sediment. I'll give the other one a serious spin before I pour it.
The 2006 (07?) Ola Dubh was a surprisingly mild beer. The package described it as "viscous and gloopy" It was neither of these. It was pretty good, strong but palatable whiskey notes, but wildly overpriced.
Sam Smith Winter Ale didn't really taste like anything... kind of a disappointment. I've enjoyed their beers in the past, but this one was pretty meh.
Allagash Hugh Mallone's stand out characteristic is it's sharp, and bitter taste and it's head like a fucking bubble bath. Neither of these are a bad thing... I just don't think I was in the mood for either at the time. I enjoyed this one when I had it last year, not so much this year.
Dogfish Wrath of Pecant. Initial impressions stick. This reminds me of the Indian Brown Ale. I'm not sure I could tell them apart in a taste test. Good beer, not amazing. Glad I have a couple more bottles... but really only because of how much I can sling them for on ebay.
The Creme Brulee stout is something you should really track down.
The Creme Brulee stout goes back into production in June, can not wait to get my hands on some.
So that mini keg turned out to be just ok. The beer was drinkable, but nothing great. If you find one cheap pick it up just because it is kind of fun. But after having it open for 3 days it starts to lose carbonation.
Going to drink the bottle of Wrath of Pecan josh picked up for me this weekend in celebration of my birthday. And then I am going to go see Kick-Ass at a movie theater that has couches, is 21 and over and has an awesome bar.
How's the Delirium? I'm tempted to buy it every time I hit up the store.

Good post, Josh! Iron City is terrible. Oskar Blues Yella Pils is pretty fucking awful too - especially for a craft beer.
Love DFH Raison - not too thrilled with DFH's Palo Alto though. I'll be ordering as much Creme Brulee as I can get in June/July.
Bigfoot is one of the older craft brews around - it's been out, I think, almost 30 years as a seasonal. I've heard good things about Sierra's 30th Anniversary Porter, too ($10 750ML bottle).
Now I'm craving another Raison D'Extra. THANKS JOSH.
