My theater tried to play commercials but they fucked something up, so we got to listen to the audio while watching a black screen with a Windows taskbar. They also apparently use nVidia cards, judging from their system tray. Then they flipped to an unactivated Pay-Per-View station, back to Windows, and then finally to the trailers.
They've got some highly trained people running those machines.
