Why can't they continue the story? It's just giant robots beating each other up inbetween scenes of retarded humans being retarded.Originally Posted by Advocate

I'd watch that.
I'd watch it every day if it had a kick ass synth + good metal sound track.
They'd mess it up though. Grimlock would fall in love with swoop or something.
Sadly, Transformers 3 made an insane amount of dough, so the studio thinks that audiences enjoy LaBOOF and his parents and all the other stupid human characters shitting up the screen more than the robots and re-creating the best story lines from the cartoon.
They're never going to pander to internet fanboys that grew up in the 80's. Transformers 4 may be a "reboot" in the sense that they're moving on to different characters, but they'll be just as Jar-Jar as the old bunch, especially with Bay directing.
I'm just happy that the first GI Joe movie did well enough to warrant a sequel, but not well enough that the studio thought they had a foolproof, winning formula. Thankfully, they're now adhering closer to the source material for the sequel instead of diverging further from it.

Why would the same director direct his own reboot in the first place? I know it's not a first. It's been done. But this is just fucking awful. This is more awful than Bay has ever been involved in before.
