Am I the only one that thinks "ranking deaths for historical importance" is about the worst waste of time anyone ever wasted their time doing?
Ali and Howe both died long after they had anything more to contribute to their respective sources of notoriety. Prince was relatively young and still relatively relevant to the music scene. Music and sports being different things notwithstanding, at one point, Ali was the most recognizable PERSON in the world. Not saying who was bigger...but still kind of crazy to think.

He wasn't, because really it isn't "an Ali," it's the Ali. He was the greatest of all-time almost without debate. I'm not even sure there could be a musical equivalent.
