I've decided to take this show very seriously. Be prepared.

caught the second and third episodes. the level of cg stupidity has dropped remarkably. the amount of nudity and sexuality is actually kind of stagering, but it feels right for a show based on Rome.

Spartacus himself isn't very interesting so far. RAR must get to woman. OK I get it. still, the rest of the cast has been fun to watch.

Yeah it's improved quite a bit. They also don't seem to be in a rush to make Spartacus a killing machine. They're going to slow build him up to that. Episodes 2 and 3 have been pretty good in that regard. Crixis' battle with the two demon savage brothers was well done. More of that, plz. The first episode was still pretty shit, though. But I guess it goes to show you how much of an idiot the Thracian is/was.

I can't really say this show is good, but I am entertained watching it. I like Spartacus' look much better after the haircut, but like Error points out, he's sort-of bland. I'm fine with him being the underdog, but I'd enjoy a bit more guile and scrappiness from his character.

My partner always walks in during bared breasts scenes and rolls her eyes, so I say, "hey there's male nudity too" and she's like "with erections?" Geez, woman.

Spartacus is not exactly an easy guy to like right now. He's incredibly full of himself but can't deliver the goods. I don't like Crixis, but at least he delivers what he promises. I'm hoping we see Spartacus get some sense knocked into him and we can actually like the guy the show is about. I just finished ep3, and he seemed to realize he is not as badass as he thought.
