This show is good entertainment.

While Batiatus is good character, I'm not thrilled with the actor that plays him, but with many of the show's little hang-ups, the overall presentation and effect outweighs the silliness. That slave chick he nailed in the bath had phenomenal tits, btw.

In regards to Drew's spoiler, I really hope the show can follow through in a satisfying manner next episode. That was heavy, and there's a high risk it will be underplayed or a wasted plot point that they dropped too soon.

This show has been entirely slow-built. It took Spartacus like 5 episodes just to get a win in the arena. So we'll see.

I was actually surprised to see how they made one of the most badass warriors of the series, in Barca, a gay man. He wasn't a sissy or flaming wishy washy character at all. I don't think that's ever been done before. It's a shame Batiatus killed him. But oh well. Good series' aren't afraid to mutilate and use their characters, even if to the ultimate end.

I know, I have a hard time taking him seriously after the character he played in The Mummy movies. Also, her tits were fantastic.

Ashur is an awesome character. In an entire episode dedicated to manipulation he was king of them all.

Another awesome episode, the build up to the fight scene was so good.

Spartacus himself, Andy Whitfield has a treatable form of non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (which I believe Dexter, Michael C. Hall also has).

He's being treated now and it sounds like the first season finished filming some time ago. A second season was given the green light before the show started, but Andy's illness will probably postpone the start of the new season.
