I saw this. It was pretty much a 2 hour action sequence. Completely awesome in a 13-year-old boy kind of way. Not much story and everything is way over the top retarded, but all of the action was white-knuckle intense, edge-of-your-seat fun.

I saw it the same day as the new Avengers and it really highlighted the difference between this flaccid, impact-free CGI shaky-cam action of the latter and the masterful vehicular awesomeness of the former.

It was good, but not great. Felt like a mix of Borderlands and Twisted Metal.

Also it was over the top great. the Guitarist being my favorite part.

Mad Max returned the favor. Even the font type used for the title looks identical to that of Borderlands.

It was a fun movie with lots of great action sequences and a badass soundtrack, but that's all it was. Not much substance.

You say it like its a bad thing.but i love borderlands and i didnt' get a feel of that at all. Not TOO many religious fanatics in borderlands. and teh cars are no where near as absurd. nor did it have a DoofWagon.

There were some nice threads in there, like the gold-based assassin economy and the community around it. Not terribly developed, but I'm glad it didn't turn into Wanted or something.
