Thread: Crackdown 2

  1. The best thing about the first was the exploration of the levels. You could find an easy street way to get to a boss and exploit it. Sounds like they've went with that mode of thinking -- which I'm fine with. Adding in some more mutants just sounds like a way of keeping the enemies interesting throughout the game. More than just gang leaders to killer = more variety. I'm also glad they've revamped the driving. But really who cares? I don't know a single person who played the game to do vehicle combat. Everyone wanted to run shit on foot (especially since you could run almost as fast as cars anyway).

Can't wait for this to drop.

  2. Vehicle combat wasn't the draw, that's for sure. But, I admit I was addicted to the Agent SUV. Aside from mowing over thugs, the Level 4 wall driving and stunts were legendary. I understand the wall driving was a glitch that RTW left in because they thought it was cool. They were right. I hope Ruffian follows suit.
    "Fiends! Animals! Bastards!"

  3. There was vehicle combat?

  4. I loved the first one and played the crap out of it. The videos and screens I've seen of this look really promising, and I know as long as it's half as cool as the first I'll have a blast. Probably a day 1 for me.

My personal favorite was jumping on a shed or a one story building and having him say "Now THAT'S a view! Finest in the city!" when all you can see is an alley and another building.
I'm not a devious man by nature... but when you're unarmed, your tactics might gonna be downright Archimedean.

  7. Multiplayer vid doc, looks awesome. Game release is in July.

  8. Played some multiplayer (Orb) at Pax-east. It sucks.

Maybe the single/co-op campaign would be worthwhile.
