Yes, that's exactly what he's saying. Family guy is a cartoon for adults.
Will someone please jog up to the mound and take the ball from Opaque? The kid doesn't have it today and he's not going to find it. It's becoming painful to watch.
Alright we'll go full other end of the spectrum: you think Rugrats, Cow and Chicken or Dora the Explorer are artistically impressive? No.
I can't think of a single animated TV show outside of Anime that actually has quality art that stands on it's own. You usually have to go to feature films for that.
I guess what I was trying to get at is the content of the shows are the totality of what's important, the visuals are simply to help communicate that (and yeah, you could say that about most live-action stuff, too). I just don't appreciate the style of humor that a lot of cartoons for adults do, so there's not even visual appeal to interest me.
The animation on the latest Family Guy episodes is really good. It's a big jump from when the show started.
Why in fuck would you watch Family Guy?
Boo, Hiss.
LOL.I can't think of a single animated TV show outside of Anime that actually has quality art that stands on it's own.
I said that outside of anime I can't think of any, meaning all the ones I can think of are anime, not all anime has quality art.
Stuff like Mushishi and Ghost in the Shell have a quality that you normally don't find in american television animation. They look like the production you'd see in movies.
