In all honesty I forgot how I pulled off that particular run, so I doubt I'll surpass it. ;) I think I bounced it off the side, I did a high jump off the wall to get next to it, and then hit it with two jump kicks while I was near. Not sure though.
In any case, here are some points I've noticed about the physics system.
- Just in case some people haven't noticed, you can run by double-tapping a direction. Essential. Jumping while running results in a higher jump... just like in RCR.
- Jumping against a wall at the moment just before you run into it will sometimes result in a super high jump. Imagine how high you could juggle the ball if you had it setup near the top of the screen beforehand...
- Punches push the ball more horizontally, so they're only really good when trying to maintain a long hit run near the ground. Kicks tend to move the ball more vertically, so they're best to use when going for a good launch.
- If the ball is falling from a great height (or any height, really), you let it bounce, and then hit it with a ground kick *immediately* afterward, the ball will fly straight up to nearly the height it came down from (or sometimes more?).

Man, that "run" came out of nowhere! My highest was 24 for the longest time, and then suddenly, I got that! I think I'm done for now, but that's pretty damn fun.
I should try leaping to kick the ball for launches, I solely stuck to the ground for that score.
