This game is pretty much made by how awesome the main character is.

That's because he's Dale Cooper.

It turns into a shittier version of Heavy Rain by the end. This is hardly the antidote for those types of games - Access include everything wrong about them, since they use imitation as a substitute for creativity. It should be awesome if you enjoy every bad video game cliche of the past 15 years.
You can be sure that York is no longer entertaining when the game takes Zach's origin story seriously.

The biggest loss here is Punky Skunk losing his sense of all that is fun and wonderful.

It's no Bubble Bobble.
you god damned right it isn't
In all my years on this earth, I've never disagreed with someone (Punky Skunk) more. Heavy Rain takes itself WAYYY too seriously and becomes a pretentious misfire early on. It's like a shitty movie on early 90's-era Showtime.
Deadly Premonition--no matter how derivative of Twin Peaks--laughs at itself along with the player. And yep, York is Dale Cooper, but obviously more insane.

Against my better judgment, I bought this game.
Worst game of the gen. Gameplay mechanics are awful across the board. No excuse for the slowness of the loading from scene to scene, menu to menu. Lots of wasted time in what is a slow game as it is.
Japan really should stop making games. I wanted to go throguh the game to watch the story unfold, but it's just too damn shitty. Maybe Youtube.
Big surprise that Joust doesn't like this.
I call that a seal of approval.
