i would..but again, I can't write for shat.
New season, a proposed new design in the works and now...it's time to address the most important element of them all - new talent.
By now, many of you are aware of the requisite for fansites, and what they entail. 5 years in the world of gaming, TNL has endeavored to remain a viable destination on the net and since then, hasnn't looked back. Of course, everything at some point needs refinement, a new twist...a glimmer to remain impressionable, unique. And that's where you come in. Yes...you.
Below is a brief breakdown of the positions available - the positions are non-paid, voluntary positions. Our perks are not high and abundant, you won't become showered with loads of gifts (though we do have plenty of games to provide for review and to keep). Above all, the opportunity to present your opinions to a wide-scale audience is available.
We're looking for savvy, enthusiastic persons...who are self-motivated and above all, possess the talent and creativity that will prove entertaining and beneficial to our readership. If you're looking for a chance to hone your skills, and perhaps pursue a position in the industry, or simply to expand your gaming passion. We'd love to hear from you.
Previous experience with other gaming outlets is a plus (but not required). Persons should have a genuine interest in gaming, solid communication and written skills, and above all dependable. Fair-weather types need not apply.
News Editor
Not entirely the most exciting position, but signficant nonetheless. If you're the type who has an eye for news, catches every detail, from the latest trends to the obscure, domestic and overseas - we're awaiting to hear from you. Recommend for persons who don't have a great deal of time on their hands, but still want to contribute on a weekly basis.
Editors:
Writing a review is simple, but what makes your thoughts stand out? You don't have to be a walking lexicon to tell us the difference between bump-mapping and anti-aliasing, but it helps. We're looking for well-rounded individuals who can produce reviews, editorials and periodic features throughout the year. This is for the most ambitious persons who simply love to write and can't get enough of it. Positions entail receive review copies, trade expos (yes, these means E3), and other related perks that may follow.
Editors should have access to at least one or more next-generation platforms (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube or GBA). We're sure that you all have PCs, (unless of course you're using a Dreamcast - that's ok, we won't ask).
All interested persons applying for the positions should send a writing sample of at least 1000 words (or more) to jobs@the-nextlevel.com; including any/all related experience. For added impact, should you feel the urge to throw in a spiel as to why you think you would be great for either of the above positions, we'll look that over as well.
Good luck!
I'm tempted, but I'm one of the Dreamcast PC folks. *-neo
I would apply if it weren't for 2 things:
1) I've dedicated myself to Neomega, and I intend to focus all my writing power to said site, regardless of the bells and whistles other sites may offer.
2) I'm underage anyway.![]()

Hm. Well, I just took a job at Neomega, so I don't want to split my efforts. But I hope that TNL gets some dedicated and talented writers to join on! Bets of luck to you guys!![]()
As if I don't write for enough sites alreadyAnyway, Bahn, could persons who are ALMOST 17 apply?
Though given the arguements we've had over AIM, I'd really doubt I'd have any kind of chance to be chosen, I really would love to do it though![]()
I'll apply, just as soon as I figure out what to do for my sample...
