CD Projekt also announced that all small/medium-sized DLC will be free provided that you register the game. In fact, a DLC quest will be available for free on day one.

Large, old-school expansions (if there are any) will cost.

Get it from GOG. I love them, and Witcher enhanced for $5 is a steal.

I don't think the retail versions can be installed yet. They have some kind of lightweight Securom installation check.

I was able to try this out very quickly before work. A few things:

Combat is very different and a lot more interesting than it was in the first game. It's also a lot harder. I died on the second or third fight.

It's looking like you have to play very deliberately. Positioning, magic and alchemy are very important.

360 pad support is excellent and I might just switch over.
