Thread: Official PlayStation Portable Thread

  1. If you really really hate UMD, you know you still can d/l games onto the 3000 as well. Then you still have to option to pick up the occasional game that isn't available on PSN and play it as well.

  2. Yep. The go is one of the most useless pieces of hardware ever. It rightfully bombed everywhere. I'd honestly rather have an n-Gage.

  3. I really just want something to play Ultimate Ghosts'n'Goblins, the Wipeout games, Capcom Classics Collections, Castlevania, and maybe a half dozen more.
I'll just wait for a more substantial price drop, I guess. I'm in no hurry.

  4. So get a 3000. It's worth it for DXC and UG'nG alone. You can still buy those games DD and play them on a bigger screen while knowing you're not supporting Sony's attempted gamer ass-raping with the junky go.

  5. BUT THE 3000 DOESN'T HAVE A STUPID SLIDER THINGY! PEOPLE DEMAND STUPID SLIDER THINGIES!

    You know what I hate?
"I have formed my opinion but will ask advice and then ignore if it doesn't agree with my already formed opinion."
    Don't be that guy.

  6. I have an original PSP, from before they fucked it up, that I do not play and only still have for the God of War game that's supposed to come out I believe. I would be absolutely willing to part with it and all the shit I have for it. The system is fucking garbage and I'm sad I ever bought it. Box, instructions, you just don't get the ATV game and Lords of Dogtown, cuz those got traded in for pennies a long time ago.

I love the PSP. It's a beautiful little machine. That's so weird, to hate it.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

  8. I like my hacked PSP. It's useful in the sense that I can play my UMD games off the memory stick and the occasional emulated game (Gunstar Heroes, Mother 3, Cave Story, etc). It's almost the perfect portable.

My primary reason for picking up a 3000 over the Go when I bought a new one was the price of games. You can pick up most of the PSP's UMD library for much less than $10 these days, but they are pretty much always more expensive on PSN. PSN prices are generally fair compared to retail, but they certainly don't compete with clearance and used game sales.

If Sony had an option for either redownloading or ripping titles you already had on UMD I would get a Go myself. But they don't, so I laugh with my 3000 and pile of $5 awesome games.
