If someone can not attain above an 80% average then why would they need such higher education, anyway? If they are capable of it but don't do the work then they don't deserve to go, either. You'd be surprised how much "the most gifted" put in to their studies to get that acclaim. They aren't all simply magically gifted wise-guys you know.

If someone busts their hump to be smart they deserve all the options they can get.

There are cheap, completely valid alternatives. Especially considering the wealthiest people in the world typically don't even go to college.

Beyond high school level? Most certainly not.

You are the one arguing that free colleges being restricted to those that deserve it is bad, which it is not.

Everyone having the option to pay for it just makes the degree into something that shows you have access to enough cash, not proof of your actual learning and knowledge. And it has become more so the former than the latter in the US.
