Truth. People probably wouldn't guess it from my posting history at TNL but I watch a lot of movies. I just hate spoilers so much that I usually avoid talking about them on message boards.

Up until the day before Iron Man 2 was released in the US. There was little to no info on Super 8. And even now there is no info on the movie. Heck Cloverfield was a out-of-left-field trailer. And the proceeding days had the internet a buzz as to what it was about. I remember the rumors of it being a disaster movie. Now we know better, but you get the point.

Trailers are fine, but certain companies have a better track record. Keeping the trailer from divuldging too much info. Another example is Inception. Up until the recent trailer attached to Iron Man 2. The audience still had no idea about the movie, other than it looking cool.
