I've never been able to read more than a few pages of the comic. It's too... twee.

Scott Pilgrim does not contain the author self-inserting into his own comic dressed as a dog and fishing for sympathy about how hard it is to draw comics. That makes it better by default.
In all fairness, K has read exactly four pages.
