Thread: Telltale's Jurassic Park & Back to the Future

  1. It's gonna live or die based on the visuals; if they fuck with the Stan Winston dinosaur look, no thanks.

I'm not a devious man by nature... but when you're unarmed, your tactics might gonna be downright Archimedean.

Those appear to be the same dinosaurs.

The references to Heavy Rain sound interesting. Telltale is better at doing stories than Quantic Dream, so hopefully they'll be able to marry that sort of immersive gameplay with a story that doesn't have dinosaur-sized plot holes.

We'll see. When I hear "influenced by Heavy Rain's gameplay" I also hear a convenient cop-out for developers who know they can't make action sequences. If it's like Heavy Rain with actual puzzles, I guess that could be fine.

Well, I think it's more about presenting action sequences in a way that doesn't require action gaming reflexes. It gets rightly derided as "QTE hell" when done wrong, but when done right it can introduce the tension and split-second decision making of an action game without all of the specific mechanics that would turn it into some sort of weird hybrid action/adventure (in a more literal sense than is commonly used) game.

And yes, I would assume that puzzles are a given.

    BttF: Episode 2 is out!

If you got it from Steam, it'll be in your library and ready to install.
