Yeah I can't really offer a reason besides Street Fighter to get one in the first couple of months. The release schedule is pretty barren (except for some possible win once eshop/virtual console rolls out in May).

Nintendo said at the unveiling that it's something that needs to be seen in person and it's really true. That's why they had all those girls go up to reporters individually. It's a smart move. I wish I had the cash for it.

Finally got some hands on time with the unit today. The local Wal-Mart had someone from Nintendo there showing off the system. Wow! The 3D is great. I tried Pilotwings and Face Raiders and I'm sold on the system.

Oh, and the blue unit is drop dead sexy. It looks so much better in person than from the various pics across the web. I was not sure which colour to go with and was going to stay with the black since it is the standard colour for electronics, but now seeing the blue in real life, there is no doubt that I'm going with that.

I would probably go with the black one just because it matches that third party battery pack that I would inevitably buy.

I don't see how that would matter either way, it's not like you spend a lot of time looking at the back of the system.

The colour of the system is a trivial thing to begin with, but you may as well be consistent.

I've been using my co-worker's 3DS to practice some of my SSF4 combos and it's tough! I can't do Ryu's c. strong x2 -> c. fierce -> tatsu -> ex fireball -> metsu hadouken combo.

What will eventually sell me on one is: Mario Kart (derp), the Rabbids sidescroller I just saw (double derp), and the new Etrian Odyssey.

I'm still at odds ends with how they're pushing this (unfinished launch/wide launch window nonsense, high price, short battery life, 3D movies), but by the time the library builds to the point where I'd be dying for one I hope it's at least affordable (or the battery doesn't suck).
