I played through all of Bravely Default and enjoyed it a great deal, the true ending and bonus movie for the sequel are definitely worth it imo. I found what occurs in the second half of the game, while repetitive, to be interesting and I was curious to see more information revealed through the slightly different, increasingly more difficult interactions. (Story-wise aside, I only fought through all of the Dragons once, and I haven't yet tried fighting the extremely high-level Spotpass bosses in rebuilt Norende.)
The characters, the battle system (with increased speed options that came in handy), the look of the game, and the music are great. They all made it easy for me to keep playing. Also, I thought the English audio did a good job with the characters, such that I didn't once change it to the Japanese audio.
