I remember it being okay, but I was pretty burned out on space shows when it originally aired, so I never really got into it.
Watched a few episodes of this as a kid and really liked them so when I spotted the series box set for a measly $7 at the local collectibles store I picked it up.
While the CGI is monstrously dated, I think the show overall was really solid. It struck me as being gritty like Battlestar, but a lot of the drama and character development was more subtle and understated. There were many more quiet moments that really spoke different kinds of volumes.
Anywho, anyone else watch this show?

Got canned too early, like all other Fox shows, woulda been nice to see this one play out further. I hate to say it, but perhaps a remake would do it well, provided it stayed far away from Fox.
Yeah, Fox does have a bad habit of that and even though the way the series ended could work, it would have been nice to see it continue. Especially, since the ending basically left 3/4 of the main characters dead, MIA or critically injured.
Not sure about a remake though. I really liked the original cast and would have a hard time letting that go. More then that, I'd be afraid they'd ditch the more subtle style and go for something more overtly exciting. As much as I loved BSG every moment of the show did often seem like one cliffhanger leading into another. Modern action is just a bit too 24-ish for me sometimes.

This is one of my favourite shows of all time. It getting canceled was way lame, especially since they started getting into things that they didn't have a chance to explain.
They did this shit to Firefly, too. Both awesome shows Fox fucked around on the schedule.

I loved the show. One of the characters had a Blackhawks poster next to his bunk.
Yeah, Wang.
I was a fan of Hawkes, the invitro. The actor did a really great job of portraying an adult who in many ways had the inexperience of a child. The episodes centered on him were some of my favorite.
Anyone ever catch the Sugar Dirt episode? I freaking loved that one.
