Ugly game! I am going to try it myself this week to see if it's fun.
The original looks MUCH better, by virtue of being more aesthetically consistent. Seems like it plays quite a bit better too? Let's see!
Picked up four 6x6 canvases and some paint today for Weekend Art.

lol, the Strider discs have the wrong art printed on them; they're reversed. S1 art on the S2 disc and vice versa.
Yeller is right, S2 is hideous.
Maybe, but it's fun! Unlimited continues breaks the game though, try to force yourself to not continue, or limit yourself to 3 or 4.
I already had Windows 7 ultimate. I had to buy the HDD. 65 bucks well worth it.
