I was surprised to learn during that weird "epilogue" that the Doctor apparently pushed the clockwork android out the door. He's definitely channeling the first/third Doctor's surliness and the ninth/tenth's occasional ruthlessness.

Was that confirmed in the episode? Because I thought they were going to leave that as something to be revealed later on.

Mystery Lady said something to the effect of, "did my boyfriend push you out the door?" or something like that. He neither confirmed nor denied it, but just the fact they'd even leave it open to interpretation puts a very interesting spin on this new incarnation.
I was thinking a while back that we're quite overdue for a new Master story. That would be rad as hell. MAYBE IT'S THE RANI.

I don't think she ever made a comment about Smith having a new face like she did to Tennant, right? So that should mean she never saw Capaldi and thus, fingers crossed, we're done with her.

I'm just glad some characters from the previous Doctor are bleeding through. I thought Jack Harkness was a riot, but he up and disappeared when Matt Smith reared his putty face.
They can definitely keep their River Song, though. Her big reveal up and ruined that character for me. So dumb, even for Doctor Who. But at least the actress would be the same age as the Doctor for once!

Really digging Capaldi as Doctor so far. 'Listen' was an amazing episode, too. One of the best.
