I like the 3D Final Fantasy games more than the 2D ones.
But that's hardly fair, since those games rely so much on cut scenes and visuals.

I guess it was cool if you have tiny baby freak hands and want something that looks like it was made by Fisher Price. Otherwise it was cramp-inducing and ridiculous. The N64 controller can at least say it brought rumble & analogue to the masses.Originally Posted by PopeJewish

Blasphemy. While FF7 was pretty good, it was nowhere near as good as the SNES FF games, and it was the best of the psx FF games. SNES was the golden age of JRPGs
I'm not saying it was good, and while I can admit that most controllers didn't do analog and none did rumble before the n64, it was still a gods awful controller not designed for the human hand (or at least not just two of them) and it was a piece of shit quality-wise as well. Also I do have tiny baby freak hands, wanna make something of it?
The N64 pad was fantastic for games developed with it in mind. It was normally horrible for multiplatform games though.
And I've seen a ton a N64 analog sticks killed working in the used game busniess but have never seen one die in my hands or my friends. What do you people do to them to kill it?

Sin and Punishment used the N64 pad going the other way around, with your right hand on the analog stick. Worked great.
Mischief Makers used the dpad and buttons, that worked great as well. I don't see what the big deal is about a controller giving you options, I think having multiple ways to grip it was a better solution than having an awkwardly placed dpad (xbox, 360) or an awkwardly placed analog stick (ps, ps2, ps3).
The N64 analog sticks are shit, that is true. All the dead ones you see are the result of children and Mario Party, btw.

Ah, I never played the first 3 Mario Party games but I can see that. I'm sure most of the mini games had you jamming on that analog stick like crazy.
