I'll be damned if any of the FF games that were released on PSX are even close to the amazingness of FF Tactics.

Tactics was the best psx FF game, sure, but I still though FF7 was better than FFIX. Personal opinion. I just didn't include FFT as it's a departure from the main, numbered series.

And yes, SNES was the golden age of JRPGs. Chrono Trigger, FF6 and IV, Earthbound, Soul Blazer, Secret of Mana, Terranigma, Illusion of Gaia, Lufia 2, BoF 2, etc etc etc.
