I started the install/download last night at 11:00 pm. At 9 am this morning, the game had installed but a 4 gig patch was only at 32% downloaded.
I'm hoping it was PSN being extremely slow last night and not my new router or PS3, but it took almost a half hour to download an initial 128 meg file.
Sony is SO FUCKING AWESOME!
It took me all night to do the 14 gig install. Once it was done, I went to create my hero, I did the whole process only to get an name validation error. It then disconnected from the server and kicked me back to the start screen, wiping out everything I did. I turned it off and came back later to try again. While creating my character, it disconnected and kicked me back to the start screen again.
Hopefully, someday, I'll actually get to PLAY the damn thing.
I read that it was down for maintenance yesterday. Awesome timing on their part. Took me 24 hours to get it ready to go. The first time I installed and played it, the whole process took about 5 hours.
This game is a major clusterfuck. It takes forever to finally log on, and when you do, you ALWAYS get disconnected. I've had this happen every time I play, and when I try to log on again, it tells me the servers are down for maintenance. Who the hell thinks it's a good idea to have server maintenance on a Friday night?
It glitches to the point where you have to log off and in again and even locks up on the disconnect screen.
I really wanted to like this, but Sony has done everything in its power to make me not do so.
*EDI* I was trying to log in while I typed this and what did I get after 5 minutes of staring at the Joker's ugly mug?
"This game is unavailable for maintenance. Please try again in a few minutes (1049)."
