Cool...but if I already own Vampire Savior for the Saturn, would you consider it worth buying?

Well, I have Vampire Hunter and Vampire Saviour on Saturn as well. The only one that is missing is original Vampire, but I like the sequels more anyway.
Maybe I will watch the action, and see.
Yes very much worth owning. It has all the fighting grooves from each of the games including Savior 2 which allows you to dash by double tapping left or right.Originally posted by Dolemite

The characters and colors look good, but there is some pixelation, i.e. jaggies that I didn't remember seeing in the arcade or the saturn version.
I personally like it better than Vampire on Saturn because the characters appear a little squished in the Saturn version compared to the arcade--I think Chronicles holds truer in that sense.
Many will argue the opposite, so it's totally up to you your opinion which looks better--though I do think Vampire on Saturn has smoother characters, but it's a trade off--overall I think the DC version better mimics the arcade.
Plus it's a collectable--I think only like 5000 were made. If you're a fan than definitely pick it up...and if you don't like it, you can always resell it for a good amount...
"50,000! You scored 50,000 points on Double Dragon?"
I have a copy of Vampire Chronicles in Mint Condition. I played it once and it never really grabbed me. I kept it because it is pretty rare. If anyone is interested in buying it or making a trade for something of equal value and rarity. I would be interested. I pretty much collect all systems and games.

I own all three- Vampire, Vanmpre Hunter, and Vampire Savior. You can actually pick up the original for pretty cheap- I've seen Darkstalkers for $14.99 new. I'd pick it up if I were you- there are subtle differences in how it plays compared to the sequels that are kinda cool.Originally posted by Despair

How is PSX version of Darkstalkers/Vampire?
I never picked that up, and heard few not good things about it. Is it true?
Well, in some ways it's better than the arcade version- it appears to have most of the frames of animation, and the PSX can display more colors than the CPS2 arcade board, so Capcom added additional colors and transparencies to the backgrounds, making them really pretty and much more colorful than the arcade version. However, this is an early PSX 2D title, so when you're using some of the larger characters, there is a decent amount of slowdown here and there. It's not too bad, but the PSX proved with games like Castlevania: SOTN and Metal Slug X that it could do great 2D in the right hands, but Darkstalkers has some problems. Still, the slowdown's the only thing wrong with the port. I'd buy it just for the endings, which are decent, unlike most Capcom fighting games nowadays, which have NO endings...![]()

Time for my standard "resolution" question: Does anybody know if it actually displays in low res like SF III Double Impact and Marvel VS Capcom 1, or is it forced into high res like MotW and SF III Third strike?
