I don't know what this thread is about but I found the movie average at best.

I really dislike that at the end you find out some stuff in the lamest way possible while other things are never explained. Those three girls that died, were they based on real girls? If so we have no reason to think they died in the "real" world since the Doctor mention the stabbing, fire and escape but she sure as shit never said an orderly killed three girls. Also, who the fuck didn't see the end coming? Everytime you drop a level whatever was happening right before is what you go right back to when you're done: bitch starts dancing then you go into a fantasy and when you come out you are right at her finishing the dance. So when they were about to stab her in the eye and she went into the whore house fantasy I was just waiting for them to go back to finishing the eye stabbing.

well yeah. I think most people expecting on some level that ending.

I think they'd almost been better leaving it there, and not saying "OH HEY, THE MOVIE IS REALLY ABOUT THIS OTHER GIRL RIGHT HERE"

Emily Browning is beautiful from the neck up, but sadly has no ass, tits, or any curves whatsoever. Shame.

Late to the party but... SO PISSED AT THE ENDING!

OK, dark beginning whatever. But then 90% of the movie is fun kill kill kill boom music kill boom boom. If the ending was anything other than...that...it would have been the number 2 movie of the year behind Transformers. But no. They ended it like they did. What were they thinking?!

It's like first they put fresh peaches and sugar in my Corn Flakes and then pissed in it before I was done.

And it was so easy to write the end. The dancer girl realizes the fifth Macguffin is her own fury and some ultra modern cover of Sound of Silence plays as she imagines holding and swinging Dale Sr's #3 car attached to a sword handle while fighting burning elephants riding on the backs of whales leaping through pools of water hovering above the streets of 1920's New York. When reality fades back all of those dudes blocking the gate are dead.
