Despite this being a pre alpha build, I am still having a blast. I just hope that at some point we can get a 4 man squad going.

How is this game on 360/PS3? How does it compare to BC2? I've been hearing it kind of blows.

I still haven't played Caspian, theres only like 40 servers and they are always full.

The game isn't as bad as people are saying Diff. It's fun on PC at least, I could see it blowing on consoles though

I totally agree with dave, even with the little bit I've played (and my lack of experience playing the BF series), it's been really fun. I'm going to download the 360 version just to see how it plays, but I can't imagine me ever wanting it with all of shit that people have been saying about the console versions. And yeah, I can't get into a server with Caspian either and it's really annoying.

If it were released in this state, then ya, it blows. Gameplay wise it is really good, and the infantry combat is better than BC2. The problem is getting into game with friends, getting on the same squad, and not having the game crash when you finally actually get into a squad together. Some things still need to be balanced though, but overall I enjoy the hell playing out of it when i do actually get into a game with Destro and others. We are just hoping it is a really old build they decided to put out cause they were too busy finishing the game to bother actually making a beta that works.

I managed to get in a lag free Caspian Border game last night. It made me not really want to go back to Metro. It's too bad they took the testing servers down, it was worth repeatedly trying to get in. Hopefully that means they are going to release it soon?

So im hearing the console beta could possibly be a port of July's PC alpha. This makes sense because a lot of things that were in the alpha were talked about being fixed a long long time ago - yet they are in the console beta.

Despite being initially jarred because of the Metro map being nothing like traditional Battlefield, Im really starting to like the game now (even on my 360). The gunplay with the switching of fire modes and movement system is so solid. I cant wait to play on a more open map where weapon choice and attachments are really going to matter. I like the art style of the game too. Something about the lighting/palette and character models reminds me of the Metal Gear Series.

There are a few confirmed major bugs in the beta. One being damage multiplier to the chest - the reason sometime people drop like flies, and other times not. Also sniper rifles are bugged. They should never 1 hit kill unless its a headshot. Basically all weapon damage is bugged hehe.

There are some major framerate issues on the console versions which I think are tied to the destruction engine. Try putting c4 around mcom B in the 1st subway base. The entire server will slow down to a chug - pretty funny. In the 2nd subway base - if enough stuff blows up, then entire server will chug at 10 fps for the remainder of the match. Ive seen this happen twice now. BF3's rendering is now based on streaming in and out data constantly - obviously this needs to be better optimized.
