I've finally upgraded our cell phones to the iphone 3GS (8 gig). AT&T was selling them for $99 with a 2 year plan.

I looked at packages with Verizon and Sprint, but what they offered was pretty much in the same price range, and they didn't have iphones.

Exactly. I don't get the AT&T hate. I've never had an issue with them at all. I thought the data cap may be one, but I am grandfathered in.

Gamevet: if you don't mind me asking, how much is your bill? Do you get a discount of some sort? I only ask because I've been with AT&T as long as you, but I pay the straight up rate.

I still can't manage to get close to the cap amount, and I've been tethering my iPad as of late.

I don't mind sharing mine. I pay ~$90/month total. That breaks down to $50 for my (family) calling plan, $30 for unlimited data, $10 for my wife's additional line, $5 for her texts, and $8 tax/fees. That's minus a $15.70 discount.
