Queen was playing in the background lol.
Eh, not enough footage to form an opinion on.
Queen was playing in the background lol.
Man, I was horribly disappointed by it being so hyped to be the successor of Baldur's Gate too. I loved that game so much and they crushed my dreams of reliving the glory days..PC-centric or no, the first game annoys me. It's a lot more KOTOR than Baldur's Gate and I kind of resent Bioware for hyping it up as a return to the old style.
I also agree with the earlier comment about the retarded camera, I was playing PC version and it was pissing me off. The characters are also retarded path pickers too. But that aside, I think the thing that annoyed me most was how they found someway to constantly plug some sort of extremely boring history/politics lesson into EVERY conversation. Watching government programming would have held about the same level of interest for me.
However, I did enjoy that you couldn't just bulldoze your way through every fight in the game, you literally had to pause almost every fight and sort your bitches out. But on the flip side of that, the scripts I had my characters set to..they seemed completely unable to utilize them by themselves without me physically telling them what to do every 5 seconds. Like even the ranged people would retardedly end up in melee poking people with some crappy dagger somehow..the fuck..
So anyways, I'm not really looking forward to a sequel as I couldn't even bring myself to finish the first ;p
So you're saying they're horrible games.
"BUT TEH STORIES!"
Fuck That Shit. For starters, a game shouldn't be about story over gameplay (and by you description, there is no saving grace in that regard). Also, Dragon Age's story is about as well thought out as high-school fanfiction. Wonderful writing, characterization, etc. but substance? HA!
That said I really enjoyed DA's combat/gameplay and if DA2 is the same transition that ME1 to 2 was, I'm all for it. Casualize and arcade-ify the shit out of my bloated RPGs, Bioware.
In case you haven't noticed. ALL video games stories are about as thought out as high school fanfiction.
Maybe. But you still haven't played Torment, have you?
