Anyone can hit a rotation perfectly one time, but doing it for 6 minutes straight and never messing up while also always being in the right spot and doing close to the maximum mathematically possible dps is not something that everyone can do. Obviously.

MAIN THING: until right now RF has always been ridiculously hampered by terrible healers, as we've stated many times before. It's really been unacceptable how fucking terrible most of our healer core has been (especially when I was in it). The only reason we beat other guilds this time is because we server transferred a hentai artist & co. in to heal for us and they're actually competent at the game.

So if you guys have bad healers why does everyone keep saying stupid shit like the game is easy and you guys only progress slowly because you choose to not because you aren't totally capable? It sounds like you took some time because you have bad healers, by your own admission.

Also how can you admit to having bad healer for a long time but then say you saw no difference in skill between those bad healers and the healers who got you a heroic Arthas kill?

The game is easy. My character dying because someone else is terrible at videogames doesn't mean it's hard.

We've had decent healers here and there, just rarely for long. People do also take a lot of time off for themselves or to do random shit. We rarely even have the same group for two days a week, let alone over the course of months.

Multiple reasons can exist for something happening. In this case, there are a number of reasons why we don't play one videogame all the time.

That's kind of like saying the Chargers are just as good as The Patriots because their defense and offense are, when in reality the special teams are so different that as a whole those teams don't get anywhere near the same results.

If RF has bad healers then their team is not as good as another team with better healers and everything else constant. Why not just say that from the get go instead of all this "we've always been behind because we choose to" shit which is obviously not always the case.

RF has had weak links. We have chosen to not raid many times regardless of the healer situation. Sometimes we have had good healers. A lot of times we haven't. I'm sorry that we don't offer you one simple answer to why we didn't clear stuff as fast as some other random group, but that's what happens with real live people.

To be fair this conversation did not start with me attacking your progression, it started when you guys said

Even that attack on me only happened after I said it was awesome you guys rejected someone who later got into Vodka, which was me being totally honest and actually paying you all a compliment. I actually read their forums quite a bit, mostly Games/Let's Play. The LP forum alone has been, over the past 3 years, easily worth the one-time 10 bucks to register. The mods throw out probations/bans like it's nobody's business, so I don't post much.

They have a word for Opaque's behavior in this topic: "Threadshitting".

Edit: They also have a word for the lifestyle of the WoW players that Opaque idolizes: "Poopsocking".

Idolize is a really strong and inaccurate word.

I respect their accomplishment and understand why they would choose to play the way they do, but it ends there. I idolize people like Michael Jordan and Edward Norton.
