Thread: 2010 NFL Season

  1. Yep, good teams win Super Bowls, too bad people think Brady is what won the games. You could substitute the QB (Not with ANY QB, but more than you could say for the Colts and the Saints) and get the exact same effect, the point that's trying to be made. I'm glad to see someone finally got it.

  2. So Jamarcus Russell would've won the Super Bowl with that team? Or do you mean, substitute him with another good QB? Isn't that the whole fucking point?

Look, you throw 3 TDs and 350 yards, while completing 32 of 48 passes, you helped win that game. It doesn't matter what game it is, you played a major part of it. It's silly to say otherwise.

  3. I don't have a problem with that, I don't think he's a bad QB; though he's pretty bad under pressure. I just don't think he's a great QB.

Sacks are a function of several factors, many of which are with the QB. Decision making and quickness of release are significant variables that have nothing to do with the line play. Hell, so is the receiving corps.

But if you want to ignore reality and focus only on one dimensional analysis so that you can wrap your head around it, look at Aaron Rogers with no offensive line last year. He had more TDs and a better Y/A than Brady , despite being sacked three times as often.
Fantasy Football nerds LOVE Aaron Rogers, who have yet to win a playoff game with 5 years in the league.

I didn't bother to bring Romo into this, because then everyone would have had kittens, despite the fact that his numbers to this point are better than Manning's, Brady's, and Brees' at the same point in their careers.

  6. on the tenn vs cowboys game. i can't believe i'm actually pulling for the cowboys, not only b/c miles austin is on my fantasy and i need him to have a big game but tenn needs to be kept downtrodden because i'm not very confident on texans' chances against giants.... so go forth hated dallas, beat those piece of shit thugs in embarassing fashion.

I'll return the favor. I hope everyone but Kevin Walter has a big day for Houston.

Didn't Tom Brady have three Super Bowl victories at the same point in his career?

I mean, Romo has never been lacking talent, and all he has is one playoff win and an epic choke job.

We've been over this. When your team is already in the AFC Championship when you get your first start (and you need the worst rule in football to win), you probably didn't have much to do with them being good.
