I'll give credit where credit is due - the box is neat and the extra content sounds great, but the game disc really pisses me off. I'd really even prefer they just put either a disc of the original Super Mario Bros 1-3 & USA NES ROMs or even a neat pile of redemption codes to get those four games off the Wii Shop channel.
Super Mario Allstars (particularly Super Mario Bros & Lost Levels on Allstars) pisses me off.

There was a bootleg Genesis port of Allstars, or are you talking about that wacky Genesis Mario game that played like Chip N Dale's Rescue Rangers from the NES?

Wacky. I just did a google search and saw this there as well. According to the article I read, most of the code was auto-converted from NES to Genesis. Kind of neat how well it converted the soundeffects. The music isn't bad, but kind of wonky in a good way.

SMB1 would have been fine in All-Stars if they didn't fuck up the brick breaking. You can't smack several in a row quickly like in the NES version. It totally ruins the flow.
