Thread: Games That Had a Big Impact on Your Childhood That Other TNL'ers Didn't Play

  1. OMG He's so dreamy.

  3. Rad Racer (NES)- The only game my Mom would ever play, pretty good at it too.

Super Pitfall (NES)- Harry looked like Mario with a revolver. The game was a sprawling mess but I loved exploring it. Managed to beat it once and didn't remember how I did it.

That's not the only game your mom plays. Trust me.

  5. I hate when I still lol at a "your mom" joke. I feel so betrayed by my brain.

    [edit]: Repped Low as penance.

[2nd edit]: On Topic: Phoenix Arcade as somebody else already mentioned. I was obsessed with this game for some reason.

I was going to ask this question at digitpress since there are more 8-bit computer game fans there but their forums are down. It's about Skool Daze, a game that fits this thread now that most of out European posters are gone.

Does anyone know if Skool Daze was officially released in North America? It had a big impact on me as a kid but I still don't know whether my copied version was an import or not and I'm curious.

That is an excellent question. I always assumed it was a UK/Euro release only. I haven't heard of it being relased domestically. Wasn't it a Spectrum title? If so, that'd probably answer your question for you.

Edit: Er, I see C64 release also. Hmm. Lemme check Retro Gamer.
