My impressions of the ones I've seen from arjue's list:
Frailty - Awesome until its kind of ruined by its shitty frame narrative, It makes me think that every late 90s thriller had to have some sort of shitty trick ending.
Cemetary Man - This is a weird, weird movie. I'm not really sure I can recommend it.
Altered States - Haven't seen it yet, but I think this is more of a spooky sci-fi think piece than a horror movie
Audition - Not what I expected at all, and was disappointed because of that. I may have liked it more with different expectations, but as it stands: eh.
The Monster Squad - BOOBIES
Piranha - Pretty awesome movie. Joe Dante being crazy
Trick R Treat - A lot of fun, similar to Monster Squad in its tone except more violent. I'll probably rewatch this as a double feature for something
I need a Roger Corman movie for this month, but I'm not too sure what. So far I am leaning to one of his Poe films, specifically Masque of the Red Death with Vincent Price. Ideas?

) This was originally penned by Richard Matheson, who was usually on point with his isolative stories. The first half of the film deals with disbelief of change, while the second half is much more dark and somber dealing with acceptance. The second half dialogue is narrated and helps to create a desolate atmosphere. It's kind of a "reverse" version of Tarantula. Always loved this one as a kid and still do. As from above, since this was pre CGI, there are some shots where you are trying to figure out how they did that, or there are little nuances that make the story that much more realistic. ie. The black journal that is thrown across the room and picked up by his wife.
