  1. Bacon's right, BG&E needed more sailing.

I dunno, I think maybe BG&E was so popular because it came at you like Zelda but then there was nothing Zelda about it. Even the stealth shit didn't turn me off, and photographing wildlife was way fun.

Also it wasn't much like the other 3d adventuring games that were big at the time...like Jak or Ratchet and Clank or whatever the fuck was going on.

It also has a great, compelling world, likeable characters, a good story, great presentation, and a high addiction factor of gathering/finding/upgrading stuff.

Zelda's got lots of filler, but even WW, which people bemoan as having too few dungeons, had what, 7 or 8 big dungeons? BG&E had like 3.

Only higher numbers can win the battle of what game is better.

  7. Groan. I'm really not coming at this as a playtime whore type of thing, I love short games when they feel like they filled the time they meant to fill.

BG&E felt much shorter than it should have been in whatever intangible way that a game feels 'complete', the fucking end, kill yourself.

  8. I hope they give you the option to turn off the invert on the X-axis. It drove me nuts in the original game.
