Any truth that most people online are snipers?
Plenty of snipers to knife but there are good snipers putting their C4 to good defensive use as well. I go assault simply for the smoke grenade. Get a UAV up, pop a couple smoke grenades with like-minded players or clansmen and appear out of the smoke as a multiheaded Grim reaper win guns replacing sythes.
LOL ambien post !
I like how I go back to Bad Company 2 and breathe a sigh of relief after playing this game all morning. It just doesn't feel "done" to me. I get stuck on the enviroment all over the place. The knife is too sensitive and I can't get back into the game again. I always accept DICE games when they have online issues, but I get mad when I wanna play a game that is inferior to what I'm used to from them. I'll prolly keep this till CODBO comes out and then trade it in for that.
I advise people that haven't got this and are on the fence to go buy Battlefield Bad Company 2. Its cheaper and infinitely better. I kinda knew what I was getting but I HAVE to have BF3 so they got me there. DICE is so hard to love sometimes![]()
Thanks. I am going to return my unopened copy.
This game is a solid 7. Pretty much what I was expecting, nothing mindblowing. The gameplay is very old school, very bare bones gunplay (which can be considered a good thing in this age of cheap weapon/ability perks). Its not a game I can spend 3 hour marathon sessions on it like other online FPSs. Its a nice 'pick up and play every now and then' game.
Combat Mission (the main multiplayer objective mode) is where this game really shines and its very a unique experience. It almost seems like their main focus and vision for the MP was with Combat Mission but they also had to pigeon hole other modes like deathmatch into the game for fans of that style of gameplay. After all, DICE FPS games have almost exclusively been objective based in the past. Too bad theres not many maps for this combat mission at the moment.
I must say this game is insanely tough to play on a SDTV (like I have). Its sometimes impossible to see enemies on some of the highly detailed close quarter city maps. The game is forced in letterbox (as all Frostbite games are) - but its different from the BF games because some of the maps are very cramped and detailed making it 10x harder to see people. They added all that extra graphical crap after the 1st beta as I didnt have this problem then.
If you want to compare MOH to other games - in the end, theres just nothing touching Bad Company 2 at the moment for MP console FPSs. After the disappointing Reach and then MOH I guess we just didnt know how good we had it over in BC2 land, heh.

Destro, I suggest getting a good PC monitor with proper hookups for your 360. I dunno yer preference, but I have my gaming setup with my PC and 360 together. Its the only way I play. Ill always take a comfy computer chair over my couch anyday. I always fall asleep on my couch when I try gaming there lol. You can get a good multi-purpose monitor for 150 bucks these days.
Also, I don't like the lack of maps for the modes. Definite bullshit.
Ill look into that. My computer and gaming room are completely separate but ill look into the options.
Whats really crazy is MOH is split into 2 separate games/engines (campaign and multiplayer) made by 2 separate STUDIOS - and the MP still only has 8 maps. Not sure why DICE skimps on map counts these days (BC2 is an offender of this too). Their older games had a TON of maps. You could play BF2 all day long and still never play the entire map rotation.
