All goalies are going to have stretches during the season where they don't play their best.
Thomas' bad run just happens to be over the last week or two.
I like how you only consider the stats from the last nine games into your argument. If it wasn't for Thomas that team would be nowhere. Have you even watched many Bruins games besides against your team? They're like a AAA team out there. Most of their goals are by luck, not by a legitimate set-up play.
Their PP is 21st because it's always drop to Chara, let him blast it. Nobody stands in front of the net or is ever there for rebounds.
Their PK is 16th.
I'm honestly stunned they're 5th for goals per game. Actually they're statistically solid 5-on-5 but fail when they're up a man. That's pretty terrible.
They're right behind Carolina for 2nd in shots against per game.
Yet are 10th in winning percentage when getting outshot.
You say he's eleventh in wins. Again that is a TEAM stat. A goalie can't win on his own. As far as I'm concerned the two stats a goalie has all to himself are save percentage and goals against and Thomas has them both.
They've been favored a lot of times by a lot of experts. So have the Canucks, Sharks and Washington. What's happened to them every year?
My argument was never that I thought he should get it, but moreso that it's silly of you to just throw him out of it.

I disagree. He's a product of the team in front of him and I watch the NHL, and many different teams, nearly every night.
Chara. Lucic. Horton. Krecji. Bergeron. Kaberle. Ryder. Peverly. Seidenberg. #2 overall Seguin. "AAA" team?
1st in GA in the East and 2nd in GF and they're a "AAA" team? How the fuck do you score the 2nd most goals in the conference (which has nothing to do with goaltending) and have the best overall defense and get labeled a "AAA" team?
Terrible stat that tells you nothing of the nature/quality of the shot. I can't even tell you how many (at LEAST 20) of Lundqvist's goals surrendered went in off his own guys who were blocking/attempting to block a shot. 20. At least.
Oh and you're conveniently forgetting shut outs as a stat just for the goalie?
Sorry, but Wins is also part of a goalie stat. As is team defense. As is shots allowed. As is quality scoring chances against. Save % is nice, but, again, it's not indicative of what kind of scoring chances your facing. And you can't seriously be trying to convince me that Boston has a weaker team than the Rangers, Nashville, or Phoenix.
They've had shit goaltending in the playoffs. How'd Boston do last year? Oh, that's right.
I'm not saying he's awful or doesn't deserve to be nominated either. But, if I'm voting, the guy that plays 85-90% of his team's games, has more wins, may have more shut outs, and is (obviously) more important to his team trumps GAA and Save % - particularly when the guy with those stats has been worse than average in March and April.

I'm on my iPad right now but Thomas had hip surgery in the off season. Rask was their goalie in the playoffs last year, not Thomas.
Also my Hawks seem intent on not making the post season tonight.
I was addressing why the "favorites" didn't do well in the playoffs. I didn't mention Thomas as having played goal last year in the playoffs for the B's.
Wow, Blackhawks come back from 2 goals down to take a 3-2 lead into the 2nd intermission period.
Carolina keeps the pressure on New York in the East with a 3-0 win over Detroit.
Sabres, too. Crazy East finish.
So Calgary is now out. Just have to pay attention to Dallas who has a game up and an easier schedule than us.
Worst case scenario last night for the Predators -- all the contending teams in the West won, and Phoenix/LA went into OT.
A Dallas loss tonight would at least guarantee that Nashville and everyone else remaining in the West gets in. Then it'd just come to determining seeding for the last 2 games.
Yeah Dallas needs one loss in regulation and we need 1 point from our two games against Detroit cause they owned us 3-1 in the regular season.
Funny we could still jump to 4th is the stars align.
