Metal Slug 3 heads to PS2

Playmore revealed their release schedule for the rest of the year, today, and one title on the list which was previously unannounced is Metal Slug 3 for the Playstation 2. Originally developed for SNK's MVS arcade hardware then ported to the home console, Metal Slug 3 is a shooter much like Contra, and it has received praise from critics and fans alike for its frenetic and fun gameplay. While there hasn't been any word on a domestic release, it's a possibility, seeing as how Agetec picked up Metal Slug X for the Playstation very near the end of that console's life cycle. We'll keep you updated.
