Did Red Terrier write this review? It says Kane, but it distinctly sounds like Red's humor strewn throughout.
Also, um, it was accidentally given an 'A'.
Bland gameplay leaves Red to report that there's more <s>fish</s> games in the sea...
Somewhere, someone, or perhaps some company, really loves bass fishing. I mean they really love bass fishing. I know this because there have been a slew of these games released on multiple platforms: Sega Bass Fishing, Bass Masters 2000, and the violent-sounding Bass Strike, all spring up when you browse through the fishing simulator titles. So Xicat's Top Angler>: Reel Bass Fishing has plenty of company in this category. What separates Top Angler from the rest of the fish is the game's pacing: it tries to be the first to use "fast arcade action" in a bass fishing game. In that respect, it probably succeeds. But how does it fare overall? Not that well, as a repetitive and frustrating fishing engine and cunningly elusive bass can sometimes lead to controller chucking bouts of rage.
