It's more the fact that it never even came up than the fact that he skated. Like no one ever even said "Hey, what happened to that little Jew partner you had?"
No black person in the 20s is going to tell on a white cop

That was certainly shocking.
I'm not sure I like what it says for the future of the story, though. Not just because Jimmy was a huge part of the plot, but because some of the characters around him, like Richard Harrow are going to be hard to keep in the plot without him).
I hope Harrow goes to Chicago and works for Capone.
Van Alden's story might get interesting, though. Without means and only an assumed name, he pretty much has to turn gangster now, and he's not far from Chicago, so that makes sense. How'd he get that Swedish nanny to go with him, anyway?
Yeah now what? Thinking back on the last few episodes you can see it leading up to that finale.. but it's still hard to imagine what's next for the show.
Anyways, it's been excellent so far.
Did anyone watch the sneak peek of episode 1 of Luck that showed directly after? I never thought I could get excited for a show about horse racing. Milch and Mann though... It's hard to see that going wrong.
look here, upon a sig graveyard.
The most baller writing on TV. So good.
It might have been one of the best hours of TV I have seen.
The writing, the direction, the editing. It was all fucking amazing
It was a great season in general, a hell of a finale was just the icing. I noticed the direction a lot too, tons of beautiful shots in there.
