Stop That Roach! - Great turn-based puzzle game where you have to kill off all the roaches on each level before they eat the food or escape.
Heiankyo Alien - An update of an arcade maze game that nobody has ever heard of. It plays sort of like a top-down Lode Runner, if that makes any sense.
Trip World - Already mentioned, but deserves to be repeated. It's a lot like Mr Gimmick on NES. A great platformer from when Sunsoft was at their very best.

That wouldn't surprise me. Space Panic basically took the maze game and turned it vertical, and the concept of digging holes to trap enemies is nearly identical.
Japanese companies are pretty notorious for never citing inspirations, though, so good luck. Who even designed Space Panic? I've never seen credits for it.
