    j/k
    lol

anyways if t=your having trouble just go to the aracde mode, pick easy & pick the E class (the slowest cars)
it's the easiest to beat tracks with them

& when your done you can play the MUCH superior Rally races in the free run or Time trial races
or just race some of the better tracks from Gt3 on that!

  2. I think GT3 is great. I remember the boards being pretty empty, for about a week after GT3 was released. It obviously had quite a few gamers pulled towards it's greatness.

Most racing games I've enjoyed, were more of the arcade variety. Daytona and Sega Rally have been some of my favorites of all time. If your looking for a racing game that provides a quick thrill, Gran Tourismo is'nt for you. If you're a car enthusiast, who likes to mess with a car's engine, than GT is the best game to do it.

Gran Tourismo does a great job of simulating a car on a racetrack. This game will make you work for a 1st place finish. You have to upgrade your cars, to compete, and that's where Gran Tourismo shines. The amount of cars and tracks to is enough to make most racing fans happy. Just don't expect it to play like a quarter muncher, because it's not anything like it. Play Sega GT on the Dreamcast, and you'll come to appreciate just how great Polyphony is at making games. Gran Tourismo 3 starts out slow, but give i a few days, and you'll be racing some fairly fast cars.

Gran Tourismo 3 can also be I-Linked with up to 6 PS2's.

Yep. Sega GT is a pretty pale imitation of GT. Hopefully the Xbox version will have more life to it.

I disagree. While SEGA GT isn't as good as GT3, of course, it is however a very good game on it's own.

  5. This is gonna sound incredibly stupid, but Gran Tourismo is just too simmy for me. I know that's the point, but christ almighty. I'm more of a pick a car, a track, and let me drive. I can appreciate the depth in it, but I've just never been the type of person who starts to cum all over the place when I see a nice car.

  6. I've played it some more and found that I play better in the 1st person mode! If I pass the tracks in arcade mode, does that unlock anything? Rally mode maybe? It looks sweet and I'm eager to play it.

I just can't get over how big a difference there is graphically between this game and others on PS2. Le Mans 24 Hours looks like crap compared to just the DC version (plays worse too), but next to GT3...

I'll keep playing little by little. Some of the licenses take a lot of time, and I suck so far so I've got plenty of gaming ahead of me.

Nah, you just unlock all the arcade levels, new cars, and the various ending credits. It's worth playing all the way through, though, just because some of the last few cars you unlock in arcade mode are awesome. They can reach speeds of over 200 miles per hour.

  8. Cool, more cars and levels are motivation enough. I think I'll pass arcade first, then I'll continue with the licenses.

That's what I said too, but after beating all of arcade mode on hard, I never wanted to play the game again. But that's just me not handling frustration too well. And to this day, simulation mode sits nearly untouched on my save file.

I highly enjoy Sega GT, but compared to the Gran Tourismo series, it's a wannabe. Play Gran Tourismo 2, on a DC using Bleamcast. The game almost looks as good as Sega GT, and actually offers a better game. The car models in Sega GT are'nt very impressive, as cars don't shine much. Sega GT is an enjoyable game, but it fails to pack that certain wow factor, it needs to stick out from the crowd.
