Thread: I Just Remembered . . . [Random Nostalgia]

  1. Thanks Shakey.
I'm wasting my life away watching old commercials now.
You should watch them all, or skip to the 2:00 mark and watch the magic unfold.

  2. today I found out there's a free preview of a premium comedy channel in canada all month (comedy gold, lol) and they air episodes of bizarre, and I haven't seen bizarre in 10, 15 years easy

bizarre and benny hill were the two things that warped me the most during childhood

How in the world was I ever duped into wanting a fucking Video Art? I'm glad my parents never bought it for me.

Jill is going to give me nightmares.

    Fucking great commercial, though!
I remember that! I got it for Christmas one year and me and my older brother tried following the directions to make the track exactly like the box. After about 2 hours we gave up and just decided to try and make our own. Didn't really work out that well.

  5. This thing was the coolest/scariest thing I'd seen when I first saw it.

The subsequent TV shows freaked me out and fascinated me as well.

  6. re: Video Art

  7. According to the Wikipedia, Video Art was released in 1987.

Mario Paint was pretty damn amazing, though.

My friend had one of these when we were kids. We used to put all sorts of tapes in it to see what it would do. Music sometimes triggered the facial movements, but my VIC20 tapes made it flip right out.

I had something else that was similar but I can't remember what the hell it was called.
