At least Mad World looked great. That monochrome filter was rad.
This is disgusting.
This is artistically the least appealing of Platinum's stuff. I loved all three of their games (I'm not really counting Infinite Space since they weren't the primary developer). I assume this is being made by the MadWorld team so anyone expecting Bayonetta-level depth will likely be disappointed.

For example, not ass-backwards camera controls like FFXII where pressing left rotates the camera to the right I am guessing.
I don't know how you could infer that sort of thing from the trailer.
All I see is some normal looking third person action with zoomed in special moves that could possibly be QTEs.
How many multiplayer online brawlers have there been with a moveset that errs more on the side of DMC than Final Fight? Spikeout's about it.
It's such a gobsmackingly obvious evolution of the beat-em-up genre to add much more robust movesets, but that's hardly been explored outside of single-player games. And those have such a flair for theatrical setpieces and ancillary gameplay (puzzles, platforming, etc.) that they scarcely even resemble beat-em-ups of old. It's incredibly rare to see a beat-em-up that's just flat plains full of dudes to fight, and rarer still to see a multiplayer one, which was once an indispensable hallmark of the genre.
For that reason, I think this game has a lot of merit in existing, and I hope it turns out well.
How about fuck you.To unlock her, you must pre-order the game
I've been pumped for this game for a while, don't care either way about Bayonetta being in it.
I'm glad they included that little clarification so I didn't get her confused with Bayonetta the Burger King cashier.Originally Posted by The dumbass article
