Also: More than 50% of everything we sell during this time period is sold back to us at a big loss within a few months!

That's what it was in Indiana if I remember correctly.
The whole "poor pay no taxes" thing is a political attack designed to exclude them and their needs from the political debate. The end goal here seems to be that we end up with a government designed to benefit the elite exclusively like Imperial Russia or France or something. Of course, we all know what happened there so maybe the rich are being penny wise and pound foolish.
